Soulful Spine© is a yoga-based practice that promotes back health, longevity, mental clarity and emotional stability. It revolves around a series of yoga positions as well as guided breath work  and meditation.

The sequences are designed to promote optimal physical health, together with mental well-being and more resilient, confident and balanced attitude to oneself and others.

A typical session lasts 60 min and consists of a short assessment, sitting meditation with targeted breath work, a series of physical positions and placements of various intensity, stabilising and strengthening work, and final relaxation. There are several aspects that are examined and considered in a tailored sequence including physical and mental health, ability and personal goals and broader life circumstances.

The session will leave you feeling calm, balanced, focused, steady and ready to tackle the obstacles of life.

Soulful Spine© is a well- being project conceived by Yelka who is an experienced and well-rounded somatic practitioner and movement specialist. She devoted the past 25 years to movement research and teaching of yoga and breath work. With a background in dance, Yelka started practicing yoga and meditation to achieve a better physical and mental stability and improved performance. The demands of working in a fast-paced, dynamic and ever-changing field of creative arts required expertise, resilience, confidence, emotional stability, mental clarity and self-compassion. She started to share her findings and devising body mind systems that were accessible and effective. Soulful Spine© started as a weekly spine centred class in central London that was designed to complement Yelka’s general yoga offering. Her teaching soon gathered a committed following and she devoted all her efforts to the advancement and transfer of knowledge.
